The Sims 3 Generations is the 4th Expansion Pack for the Sims 3

Generations has various interactions and objects for different age groups. Elders can have Walking Canes and Adults can have midlife crisises. It focuses on enriching the lives of your Sims.


The Daycare Profession:
Daycare is a new Profession for Generations. You have to take care of a bunch of kids decided by your level in the daycare profession. Sometimes parents tell you that they will be late but when they pick their child up you get extra experience. Below, here is a table of the job:

Chemistry:
The Sims 3 Generation has a new talent called Potion Making. Buy the Chemistry table (sort by room, study, hobbies and skills) and start making potions. The potion making relies on the logic skill so it is best to get Logic to at least level 5 before starting potions since there is a chance your sims can get singed..But that does not matter, just go to the shower and start making potions again! It is best to have the genius trait since that make logic easier to max Once you have done all ten potions you can make potions at a reduced cost.  There are 10 potions that you can make (all will cost). Here is a table of potions and how much they cost:

 Memories

Memories is a new feature that comes with Generations and it comes with the Generations patch (conformation needed). For me, I hate the popup memories because they come in every Small Thing: (learning to drive, first romance etc). You can share these memories on the Sims 3 website or Facebook.

Pranks
Child and Teen sims can do pranks! Children can do booby traps on the shower, treehouse and they could put Farting Cushions in a sofa or Loveseat. Teens can egg other people's homes! But be careful if you are caught by Mum or Dad  you may get grounded!

Go to Boarding School, Now!
Boarding School is a new thing that came to Generations. I have enjoyed sending spares for dynasties/legacies to boarding school if the household is too crowded. Child and Teen children can go to boarding school and they will get new traits and skills as they age in boarding school. They can be at boarding school for Elementary and High School and you can decide when you want to take them away from boarding school.

Imaginary Friends and Prom

Imaginary Friends is the best feature of Generations! This is how to get a imaginary friend and turn them real!

To Get an Imaginary Friend, there are two ways to obtain one! The first way is to make a Toddler in CAS. There is a 50% chance your Toddler gets an Imaginary Friend in their inventory.  Or, if a child is born into your family, the next day in the Post there is a chance you might get an imaginary Friend! When the babies grow into toddlers and children, they can sing, play or host a tea party with their Imaginary Friend. Once you get this message: "Riley has become a very special toy for Orchid Cruise. Who knows what will happen if she keeps playing with it? Maybe they'll stay as good friends when she grows up!"

Your Imaginary Friend will turn alive when your sim is a Child! To do this, once the child has had their birthday, place the Imaginary Friend on the floor and your doll should turn to this:

No one can see this, only the owner of the Imaginary Friend can see the Imaginary Friend; If the owner of an Imaginary Friend talks about their Imaginary Friend to someone, the other person will not believe it! The Imaginary Friend's can get a snack for your Sim or clean up for them.

To turn an imaginary friend back to life, your sim must be good friends with THEIR Imaginary Friend. Make a potion called "Imaginary Friend Metamorphium" and feed them the drink by interacting with them. An option should pop up saying "Offer to make real" and that will make them a real Sim! Can't make the potion, there is another way:

Find a Rainbow Gem, Interact with your Imaginary Friend and you will get a special opportunity to make an Imaginary Friend Potion with that Rainbow Gem! You can make as many potions as you like from the Science Lab for free! The Rainbow Gem can be found in the deposits by the Summer Hill Springs, among the cliffs between Pinochle Pond and Fort Gnome Military Base, and the cliffs by the beach, below the coastal road.

Cheat to find a Rainbow Gem!

I have used this technique for a long time if I don't find a Rainbow Gem!

1. Open the cheat console and type in "testingcheatsenabled true" and open the cheat console again and type in "buydebug"

2.Look into tomb objects and put a treasure chest (requires WA) on your lot.
3. Control+left click on the chest and choose:
Set treasure chest info. Set this to five items.
Control+left click again on the chest and choose:
Set one time treasure info. Choose Gem- High Value.
4. Now, have a Sim teen and older open the treasure chest And you will find At Least 1 Rainbow Gem!
